Advancing the HR Profession through HKIHRM Accreditation

"Setting Standards ¡V Recognising Professionals" - the slogan of the HKIHRM Accreditation Initiative - echoes our core mission, and is a key part of one of our major strategies: to build a professional membership that creates and adds value to organisations.

HKIHRM is taking the lead in setting the local scene in which to define professional standards for people working in the HR field and to recognise those who have attained a professional standard. By introducing a professional-route-based membership scheme in April 2010, a well-defined framework of professional competency demonstrated at work, work experience criteria and practical learning requirement will be established to facilitate both the recognition of professional standards as well as career progress for members who select to develop themselves in the discipline. Ultimately, the enhanced professional membership will be an invaluable asset for members' career prospects while helping business leaders and the community as a whole understand the full value of HR.
