HKIHRM Accreditation
Setting StandardsĄ@Recognizing Professionals

The HKIHRM is committed to develop and recognize the professional status and standards of HR people. The HKIHRM Accreditation is launched to define professional standards for pepole working in the HR field and recognize those who have reached the professional standard by introducing a professional-route based membership scheme.

Accreditation is a mid-term initiative of the Institute to set standards for individuals working in the HR field and to recognize their professionalism. With the 2010 Membership Scheme in place, members will be able to advance themselves professionally by following a well-defined framework of learning and competency requirements. Eventually, such professional-route based membership scheme will be a valuable asset to members' career prospects; it will also be a useful reference to the employers in recruiting and developing their HR staff.

Deliverables of the Accreditation, which are the 2010 Membership Scheme and its related mechanisms, are to be launched by 2010. The proposed details are described in different sections on this website for members and other stakeholders' information and comment.

A consultation on HKIHRM Accreditation has begun and will end on October 31, 2008. Please click here for the details of consultation.
