China's accession to the WTO has lifted the quality of the country's economic growth. With the continued opening of the Chinese market, more business and investment opportunities have been created for overseas enterprises. The implementation of the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) has further accelerated the expansion of China's trade as well as the demand for experts and professionals. In addition, the relatively high unemployment rate in Hong Kong has inevitably encouraged more employees to go north for their career development. Unsurprisingly, there are now around 200,000 to 300,000 Hong Kong people working or/and living in Mainland China.

In view of the increasing number of China-related enquiries from our members, HKIHRM has produced an easy China guide specifically for members with China responsibility and/or wishing to know more about China. The guide covers all aspects of life in China such as employment requisites, cultural background and lifestyle. HKIHRM is also committed to providing different China HRM services and support for our members as follows:
- China Interest Group (CIG)
- Training courses/ seminars/ conferences
- Sharing on China HRM
- China law and tax advice (members only)
- HR service providers offering China HRM services
