2012 Benefits Survey


The HKIHRM Benefits Survey Report provides comprehensive information on benefits for local employees working in Hong Kong and an overview on the provisions of benefits for local employees frequently travel, stationed in Macau and Mainland China.


Profiles of Surveyed Companies:

The survey covers 229 companies of various employee size and management background including 19 companies with employees stationed in the Macau and 90 companies with employees stationed in Mainland China. They include local, multinational as well as Mainland Chinese-owned companies with the form of ownership for their Mainland operations covering from wholly-owned, joint venture to representative office. The surveyed companies come from 20 different business categories such as Banking/ Financial Services, Hi-tech, Manufacturing, Wholesale, Import/ Export, Trading, Distribution, Retail, Construction/ Property Development, Insurance and Telecommunication.


Over 168,000 Hong Kong employees are covered in the survey, including over 160 employees working in Macau and over 1,100 employees working in more than 40 different cities of the Mainland China. The employee level included ranging from Top Management, Managerial,Supervisory to Supporting/General staff.
